At Café de Pilaren you are welcome as you are, also online. We collect as little data as possible on this website and do not resell anything. Below you can read exactly what happens when you visit the site.

Listing visit stats
We would like to know how many people visit the site and which pages they view, for example the calendar or the drinks menu. We use Burst Statistics for this. It runs on our own website: the data does not go to Google or other companies. IP addresses are not fully stored and we cannot see who you are.
Burst places one small cookie (burst_uid), so that a visit is not counted twice. This is an analytical cookie with little impact on your privacy. That's why we don't ask permission for it. Don't want it? Then you can block or delete cookies in your browser; the site simply works.
Via Google Search Console, we see how often the site is found in Google and on which keywords. These are totals that Google itself keeps track of; there is nothing from Google on this website and no cookies are placed.
The Google Maps map at Contact does not load until you charge it yourself Show the map click. Only then will you connect to Google and Google's rules will apply. Until then, nothing will go to Google.
Our latest Instagram posts are on the homepage. The photos are displayed from our own website, so your browser does not connect to Instagram. If you click on a post, you go to Instagram and the rules of Instagram (Meta) apply.
E-mail and Phone
There are no forms on this website. If you email or call us, we will only use your details to help you or answer your question. We will not keep your email longer than necessary and will not share it with anyone.
Subscribe to calendar
If you put a performance in your calendar, you download a calendar file or open Google Calendar. We don't see who does that.
Where is the website located?
The website is hosted by Junda, a Dutch hosting company. As with any website, the server keeps technical data, such as your IP address, for a short time to keep the site secure and accessible. The fonts are on our own server; no fonts from Google or other companies are loaded.
