Ben Reel

Ben Reel in The Pillars.
On Saturday 7 November, the Irishman Ben Reel and his band will play in café De Pilaren at the Verdronkenoord in Alkmaar.
Ben Reel stems from the infinite tradition of Irish songwriters. Yet his music is not traditionally Irish. Textually, he is the modern version of the protest singers of the 1960s. A singer-songwriter with catchy pop songs towards Americana and Rock! He has worked with David Olney, Sergio Webb, Tommy Womack and Ad van der Veen, among others. BBC Radio Ulster praised his album ‘Sweet Victory’ and live he has built a reputation as one of Ireland's best acts. He also tours Germany and the Benelux many times.
Starts at 5 pm, admission is free.
